How can you see into my eyes like open doors? Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb Without a soul, my spirit sleeping somewhere cold Until you find it there and lead it back home Jasmine was out on a job. She had been given this job before her arrest, but was only just now getting to it. She knew that was a bad thing - most people wanted their targets killed quickly - but it wasn't like she had a choice. Thought he originally seemed upset, after she had explained to her employer, and offered to take only half of what she normally charged, he was much more eager to let her keep the job. She crept through Hell's Kitchen now, her head bent as she hid in the shadows. Her target was a young couple, a pair around their late twenties who had done her employer wrong. Jasmine didn't really care to know the details, but, for some reason, they just wouldn't stop playing through her head. They were freshly married; no children. They had come to New York after losing the family business in a game of cards. There, the man had turned to selling drugs, and his woman... His woman had become very, very loose. A crime boss had spotted her and offered her the world if she just left the man. She had taken his money, his heart, but at the end of the night, went back to her husband. And now the client wanted them both dead. The client wasn't the mob boss, either. That was the odd thing. But Jasmine couldn't bother to keep thinking. If she kept thinking, she would become even more depressed then she already was, and Jasmine really didn't care for that to happen. She was already pretty depressed. Quietly, she opened the window to the apartment, sneaking in. Her flexability allowed for easy entrance, just as it allowed her to navigate the nasty room without running into anything. It was a good talent, she would admit that much. Especially when she managed to make it to the bedroom without a single sound. Her confidence bolstered, Jasmine pulled her twin pistols out from their holsters. She pointed one at each of the figures in the bed. "Sleep well," she breathed, before squeezing both triggers. The silencers on the end of the pistols did their jobs just as well as the bullets; the young woman was relieved to see she had just completed her first job since all hell had broken loose. "Easiest couple thousand ever."Jasmine holstered the pistols again, then hurried out to the window. She had just gotten one leg out when a quiet, pitiful meow broke through the silence. Instantly, she froze, cringing. No. No. God, no, please. There could not be a cat there. In the name of all that was holy... "Oh God, you're just a kitten..."Eyes softening, Jasmine slid back inside the apartment, kneeling in front of a beautiful tortoise shell kitten. She scooped the poor thing up gently, craddling it to her chest. No one would be there for it anymore; no one would be able to feed or love it. If she didn't take it. If she didn't take it, then it would die. And that left her with no other option but to take it with her as she crept out of the apartment. Holding it in one one arm, she started running across the rooftops. She just hoped Deadpool would understand when she showed up at the warehouse with a new "roommate." Odds were she could win him over if she used the "she eats less than Weasel!" excuse. And the "she won't stare at me when she thinks I'm not looking!" one as well. Yeah, that would work. Eventually, Jasmine made it to the roof of a department store and decided to take a break. She sat against the door to the staircase, her back hunched over so she could look at the kitten. Her eyes softened as it mewed, batting at the hands that were stained with blood.

Shade watced the young woman go about her bloody business. It took every ounce of will he had not to drag her into his darkness, but he had to admit she was a looker. No can't go there Shade thought to himself he detached a piece of his own shadow using it like a homing beacon where ever she moved he could teleport there and watch.

She didn't realize that she was being followed. She didn't realize she was being tracked.
Normally, Jasmine was really good about that sort of thing, but her mind was not completely on the task at hand. She was not concerned with getting home without being spot. No, she was too concerned with the poor kitten in her arms. It needed help. It needed food and love and water and shelter. And she would give them to it.
"C'mon, dear," she murmured as she crawled into the warehouse she and Deadpool shared. "We need to feed you and get you cleaned. You'd like that, wouldn't you?" Her voice rose now, as she shut the window. She was safe and sound inside her own home, so that was enough for her. She started to coo at the little kitten, placing it down on the counter.
Then, she started to strip off her costume. She took the corset off of her body, throwing it to the side and instead choosing to keep the skin-tight black undershirt on. The night was chilly, and the shirt was warm. She kicked off her boots, and slid across the kitchen in her socks.
"Do you want some milk, little guy? Would that be nice? What about chicken? Wade and Weasel had KFC last night, so..."

Shade could not believe what he was seeing this woman a cold-blooded mercenary was treating this cat with utmost kindness. Shade watched a moment longer beore he deemed her not worthy of his darkness, but he still wanted to get to know her. Reaching into the darkness he pulls out a piece of paper and pen writes a note telling her he would like to meet at the twisted sister. He teleports the note through the shadows onto her kitchen table.

The kitten was well-fed. Jasmine made sure of that. She sat at the table now, watching the little thing eat and drink all she had given it. It was a hungry little thing, a sign that the two she had just murdered weren't taking very good care of it. She had done right in taking the cat. She had done a good thing. "I'm going to call you... Actually, I have no idea," Jazz chuckled, leaning over to kiss its forehead. "I'll let Wade decide. He'll want to name you, I just know it. Then again, knowing him, he'll probably call you Pudding. I wouldn't be surprise."She leaned back in her chair - and that was when she saw it. There was a note on her table. Thinking it was from Pool, Jazz leaned over, snatching it up, and glanced over it. Her eyes widened. "What... what in the...?" His eyes looked over at Pudding, and he swallowed. "I'll be back, Puddin'..." She stood, snatching up her coat, and headed into her closet. A moment later she came out, ready to roll. She headed towards the Twisted Sister.

Shade was seated at the back of the bar sitting in the corner waiting. He was pretty sure she would show if for no reason she thought it was a business transaction so he waited for her to walk through the door of the Twisted sister. Shade had to know why he could not see her soul as clearly as any other person.

She arrived at the Twisted Sister ready to brawl, if need be.
Her home. Wade's home. Whoever had given her that letter had found their way into Wade's home. That wasn't good. Wade didn't like it people stopped by unexpected. Or stopped by at all. He always went so... Well, he was never happy when people stopped by.
She had a feeling that coming home was going to be an adventure. He could always tell when someone stopped by. Whether it was the shattering of the Fourth Wall or his ability to actually smell the person, jazz wasn't sure, but he always knew.
Jasmine spotted the table where the man was supposedly waiting, and she licked her lips. Without a word, she started that way, taking the other chair. Her eyes narrowed.
"Stay out of my home."

shade looked across at the irate woman she was pretty in the I'll kill you sort of way. "I didn't mean to offend it's just that was the only way to approach a woman of your calibre. Let me introduce myself my name is James Johnson, but you can call me shade. the reason I wanted to meet you was because I have a unique ability to judge a person's soul and even though I saw you murder to indescriminate people today I can sense no wrong in you and I wanted to know why by asking you personally Ms...?

"Reynolds." Jazz snapped, leaning back in her chair. She crossed her arms over her chest, watching him carefully. She did not trust him. She did not trust him one bit. He had gotten into her home, into Wade's home, and that wasn't a good thing. "Jasmine Reynolds. Starlight, to those who I don't like, or who try to hire me. So you may call me Starlight."
She glanced over as a waitress neared, and snapped out an order. Before long, the glass of wine was placed in front of her, and Jasmine reached over to grab it. She sat back, swirled the wine, and then sipped the red drink. "I would prefer you to stay out of my home. The warehouse does not belong to me. The owner dislikes others in his home. I'll be lucky if I don't get my arm cut off or something when I get home."
That was, honestly, how she felt at the moment. Wade may have loved her, but he was a bit crazy. And he was a bit sword-happy on top of that. That was not a good combination.

" My mistake Starlight I will remember that in the future I hope you are not reprimanded too harshly for my tr5ansgression if it will help your boss may have my arm instead. ld like to ask a favor of you as I said before my mutant ability is to be able to read people among others the thing of it is you are a quandry to my senses you murder yet your soul is as clear as glass while other in here reek of vile intentions. for instance that man behind you has beaten every woman he's come in to contact with, or her in the corner is serial killer. if may be so bold me and you are much alike the people you killed were along those lines I suppose. You kill them, but I on the other hand can send them to a hell of their own making Inside this hat. shade removes his black Fedora and the shadows around him twitch manically in response. I wish to work for you not for payment just to make this world safer for those of the light.

Jasmine was surprised by the offer.
She had never had an assistant or an apprentice or... any of the above, or anything like that. She couldn't believe that somoene who had gotten into her house was not going to kill her, but instead he trying to help her. He wanted to help her. She wasn't sure if Deadpool was going to go for that.
"I don't know if I would be allowed to have you as such," Jazz murmured, sipping her wine again. She glanced around, then her eyes fell to her drink. She was a bit worried now. First, he had broken into her home, and now... Well, Wade wasn't going to be happy. "I don't know if my boyfriend would like it if I took someone such as yourself on as a partner."

Shade stood up to go replacing his hat atop his long dreadlocks he bowed to her the hat staying in place through the whole manuever. " It was an honor to meet you Starlight I hope you continue to fight for the light." With that he moved towards the door th corner immediately lighting the farther away he got

She hesitated a moment, then stood. "Wait!" she called, reaching out for him. Her body shuddered once, as if it already knew what she was doing, and already knew that Wade wasn't going to like it. It wasn't going to be pretty when he found out what she had done. But she felt as though this had to be done.
"Wait," Jasmine called again, quietly. "Maybe we could work something out. Maybe we could try to work this out. Wade doesn't have to know. I mean... you've got power. But you're young. And you need to know that... you need to know how to do this. Properly, I mean."

shade looked at the woman standing before him and decided he would give it a try he didn't work well with others, but something oddly familiar and told him to trust her. " alright Starlight "we'll work something out as you say, but before we leave i must take the two I pointed at before. they must feel the suffocating darkness of the pain they've inflicted on others. i wouldn't object to your help.

Jazz hesitated then, glancing over at them. She licked her lips. "I don't kill without proof or payment. But if you can provide one or the other, than I will happily help you." She finished off her wine, then tossed down a five dollar bill on the table. Her eyes were soft, worried, but she was not going to speak on her fear.
"I don't take lives needlessly. I leave that bit to my boyfriend." She leaned against the wall, crossed her arms over her chest. "He can kill without need or want. The only reason I'm not dead is because he found me unique. Otherwise, I'd have been just another hit on his list."
